Change in Parent Child Program

The format for the Parent child Program has been changed effective september, 1, 2009...

The classes will now be two month cycles: September/October, November/December, etc.

Scheduling will be flexible as usual, but initial classes will be prorated accordingly for the remainder of that two month cycle.

Staff Training Update

Aileen Donnelly joined owner Ed Dellert at the Business Brain Trust Conference sponsored by 3rd Level Consulting, a Child Activity Center consulting firm, in Las Vegas on May 4 and 5. The conference was broken into four tracks, two for Owners/General Managers and two for Program Directors/Office Managers. Mixing and matching the eight topics presented every hour so we could get the most from the program was the objective, and we were successful doing just that.... Ed's slot team won the championship while Aileen's team was runnerup (there was no money bet or won, just prizes); four teams of 18 members each competed.

Staff Training Update

Aileen Donnelly, Program Director, attended a weekend conference/seminar, February 20, 21, and 22 in Philadelphia. Her completion of 17 credits, in the water and out, updates her credentials as an Aquatic Exercise Instructor, Aquatic Personal trainer, and Aquatic Yoga/Pilates. All of these certifications are with the Aquatic Exercise Association.

Owner speaking at Seminars

Swim Fitness Center's owner/CEO Ed Dellert has been asked to speak at the Build-A-Pool Conference hosted by United States Swimming Facilities Department, April 14 to 17 in Colorado Springs, CO.

The conference focuses on new pool building projects. Ed will speak on his experiences expanding from his Jersey Gators team to the opening of a swim school in a pre-existing rehabilitation/therapy pool.

Swim Fitness Center was honored by the United States Swim School Association in Phoenix, Arizona.

Coaches Aileen Donnelly and Michael Dellert were recognized Outstanding Teachers in 2008.

Owner speaking at Seminars

Swim Fitness Center's owner/CEO Ed Dellert has spoken in a Forum for Swim Coaches and athletes/parents on October 18 and 19 in Spokane, Washington.

The Coach seminar concerned itself with business principles for swim team owner/coaches, while the athlete/parent seminar was aimed at making the transition from a traditional age group program into the senior level group.

The seminars were part of the annual meetings for the Inland Empire Swimming Local Swim Committee (LSC) of USA Swimming.

Revised Make-Up Policy Announced

Due to the increasing popularity of our program, it is becoming increasingly difficult to schedule make-up classes during our normal weekly operational hours for group lesson class absences. As a result, we will be offering make-up classes for medically excused absences only on designated Sundays at times to be determined by the Swim Fitness Center. To comply with this new policy, we must ask for a copy of a doctor's note (which will be kept in your confidential customer file) indicating that an absence was medically necessary. This policy affects our Group Lesson program only. Private Lesson absences will be made up at the discretion of the instructor or Program Director. Parent-Child Classes will continue to include 2 make-up classes in the cost of the 6 lesson program.

Owner speaking at local Business Seminar

Swim Fitness Center's owner/CEO Ed Dellert has been asked to participate in a Planning Forum for businessowners on December 14 at TRICO. The daylong seminar will attract business leaders from the county and eastern Pennsylvania.

Going GREEN

Swim Fitness Center has partnered with Budget Home & Office Cleaning of Hackettstown to use ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY "GREEN" cleaning products in our facility.

Instructors/Coaches Recognized

Swim Fitness Center was honored by the United States Swim School Association in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Coaches Aileen Donnelly and Michael Dellert were recognized Outstanding Teachers in 2007.

In addition, our generic Swim Fitness Center brochure received "Runnerup" recognition. This brochure was just for the quality of the presentation and its media content. Gravity Designworks of Newton assisted us with the creation of the document.
